Planning Your Visit

  • How can I get tickets to a show at  The Stage at Suffolk Downs or other Bowery Boston shows?

    You can purchase tickets online by clicking the “BUY TICKETS” button on any show page on our site. If a show is not sold out, tickets can also be purchased in person at the venue box office on show nights. Tickets to shows at The Stage at Suffolk Downs, Roadrunner, Royale and The Sinclair are also sold in person at the no-fee box office located at The Sinclair every Friday 12-6pm and on nights that shows are happening. Take a peek at The Sinclair schedule to see the door times for upcoming events - the box office is typically open for approximately two hours after doors open for most events.

  • How do I get to the venue?

    The Stage at Suffolk Downs is located at 525 William F. McClellan Highway, Boston, MA 02128. Via public transportation, take the MBTA Blue Line to the Suffolk Downs station. For more information visit www.mbta.com.

  • Is there parking at the venue?

    Yes, there is limited parking available on site. Parking must be purchased in advance in the parking section below. No cash will be accepted on site.

  • Where is the rideshare drop off and pickup point?

    Please follow signage and parking attendant directions to the drop off/pick up area in Lot 3.

  • How do I arrange for ADA accommodations?

    The entire site is ADA accessible, including ADA restrooms and parking, and we are happy to make arrangements for anyone that needs it. ASL interpreters are only available upon request. After securing your tickets, please email us at info@boweryboston.com with your request or any questions and someone from our team will get back to you.

  • Are children allowed?

    The large majority of shows are all ages. Children 2 and under will be allowed entry for free.

    18+ and 21+ shows will be clearly marked in advance. Patrons under the age of 18 can attend an 18+ show if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. This does not apply for 21+ events, where everyone MUST be 21 and over to enter.

    Please check the event page for the show you are interested in to make sure before purchasing tickets.

  • When does the box office open?

    The Stage at Suffolk Downs' box office is open night of show only, starting at door time. Tickets to future shows can be purchased on show nights.

  • I bought a VIP package. How do I know what time to arrive?

    Check-in times and VIP experiences vary show to show. Check-in info and VIP experience details are typically emailed out 2-3 days before the show. VIP packages are non-transferable.

  • What does the venue accept as a valid ID?

  • I bought a ticket from a third party seller (Craiglist, StubHub, eBay, etc.) How do I know if it’s valid?

    The Stage at Suffolk Downs is unable to verify or guarantee the authenticity of tickets that were not purchased directly through an authorized sales channel (i.e. AXS.com or venue box office). For this reason, we do not recommend purchasing tickets from third-party resellers. If a ticket is purchased through a third-party reseller, The Stage at Suffolk Downs is not responsible for any fraudulent activity and will not honor invalid tickets.

Parking

Parking is limited and must be purchased in advance. No cash will be accepted on site.

To purchase parking, choose either "Select Pass" to purchase a multi-day parking pass (if applicable), or "Select your event" for a single day parking pass, and click the Get Rate button.

All reservations should follow signage and parking attendant direction upon arrival. ADA parking needs will be accommodated in Lot 3.

Venue Questions

  • Is The Stage at Suffolk Downs an outdoor venue? What if it rains?

    Yes! The Stage at Suffolk Downs is an outdoor, general admission, open-air venue and shows will take place rain or shine. It is always wise to dress in layers, have a raincoat or poncho on-hand and to wear sunscreen.

  • What if there is severe weather?

    If you are instructed to leave the venue for a weather delay or cancellation, follow the directions of venue staff and keep an eye on the venue’s social accounts (@thestageatSD on Instagram and Twitter). Be sure to keep your tickets handy for re-entry once the all-clear is issued.

  • Are there seats in the venue?

    No, The Stage at Suffolk Downs is a general admission venue.

  • What is the Turf Club?

    The Turf Club is the VIP section at The Stage at Suffolk Downs. Turf Club VIP tickets include access to a dedicated entry lane, exclusive food and beverage options, private upscale bathrooms, a shaded VIP Lounge with seating, and complimentary bottled water, plus other premium amenities. Please note: Turf Club VIP tickets are not associated with any artist VIP programs and do not guarantee first entry into the venue.

  • What are the food and beverage options at the venue?

    We will be working with local partners to provide a variety of food and beverage options. Check back soon for details.

  • What are the payment options in the venue?

    We accept cash, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and AMEX), Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

  • What time does Will Call open?

    The box office opens on event days at door time.

  • Where do I find set times?

    Set times vary depending on the show and we do not have them until the day of show. Generally, the times listed on the website are door times and the show will begin 30-60 minutes after the time listed, depending on the number of acts playing. PLEASE NOTE: SET TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

  • What is your bag policy?
    Small bags are allowed in the venue and are subject to search by security. Oversized bags (Bags larger than 14” x 14”, including all backpacks, briefcases, luggage, or duffle bags) are not permitted and cannot be held at coat check.

  • What items are not permitted in the venue?
    • Weapons of any kind, including but not limited to:
      • Firearms (with or without permit)
      • Pocketknives, multi-tools, or knives of any size
      • Pepper Spray or Mace
      • Flares, Fireworks, Smoke Bombs or Sparklers
      • Weaponized props
    • Lighters
    • Oversized bags (Bags larger than 14” x 14”, including all backpacks, briefcases, luggage, or duffle bags)

    • Illegal Substances
    • Outside Food and Beverage, including alcohol (Note: empty water bottles and empty one-pocket camelbaks are permitted)

    • Professional cameras (anything with a detachable lens) or flash photography, tripods, monopods, selfie-sticks, GoPros, or drones
    • Audio or Video recording devices
    • Signs larger than 11” x 17” or any sign attached to a stick or pole

  • Is Smoking allowed?

    There is a strict no smoking policy at The Stage at Suffolk Downs, including vape pens.

  • Is there re-entry?

    Sorry, no. There is no re-entry once your ticket has been scanned. Re-entry is only permitted in weather-related or medical emergencies.

  • Is there a dress code?

    Shirt & shoes required! Otherwise, for concerts, there is no dress code whatsoever.

  • Do you have a lost and found?

    Yes! Please email info@boweryboston.com with your name, contact information and a description of your item, and we will do our best to find and return your item to you.

  • Other rules & policies for The Stage at Suffolk Downs
    • Tickets purchased in front of the venue are usually counterfeit and admittance will be denied.
    • No fliers, stickers, handbills.
    • You will be ejected for throwing ANYTHING. If you lose an item at a show, please email info@boweryboston.com the following day.
    • All bags are subject to search. No markers, spray paint, weapons (includes pocket knives and pepper spray). See above for our full list of prohibited items.
    • Our shows are general admission, standing room only. Designated seating for persons with disabilities is available, and our staff is happy to facilitate. Feel free to contact us at info@boweryboston.com with any questions.
    • You must show proof of age by government issued photo ID and obtain a wristband to be served at the bar.
    • All Patrons will go through walk-through metal detectors, as well as a full bag check. Patrons may refuse to have their bag searched but will not be permitted entry with bag. Patrons will be directed to dispose of any items found on them that appear on the prohibited items list, and confiscated items will be discarded. There will be no storage or check area available for prohibited items.

Other Questions

  • If a show is canceled, where do I get a refund?

    If a show is canceled, refunds are available at point of purchase. You will be refunded automatically if you purchased a ticket through AXS. Visit AXS Help Center for more info. Please note openers are always subject to change.

  • Can I bring my camera?

    SLR’s, DSLR’s, mirrorless cameras or any camera with a detachable lens is not allowed at The Stage at Suffolk Downs. Small point and shoot cameras are allowed. Please be aware that in rare circumstances certain artists or event may have a more stringent policy.

  • Can I book my band at The Stage at Suffolk Downs?

    The vast majority of the acts that play here select their own support acts and bring them on tour with them. We rarely have the opportunity to add other bands to the bill. But feel free to email info@boweryboston.com with information about your band (links to music, press clips, where else they’ve played in Boston, etc) because you never know!
